The Vicar of the Anglican Parish of Kohimarama, Stephen is a Graduate of the Bible College of New Zealand, University of Canterbury, and St Johns Theological College (Melbourne College of Divinity, Australia).
He current sits on the Stipend and Pensions Committee of the Diocese of Auckland, is an examining Chaplin to the Bishops of Auckland and is on the Auckland Healthcare Chaplaincy Support Committee.
Stephen has experience on a number of boards and trusts, including being past Chair of the Immune Deficiency Association of New Zealand, a co-founder of IDFA Asia Pacific Alliance and IDFA Australia. He was also elected to the Board of the International Patients Organisation for Primary Immune Deficiency (IPOPI), which he served on for 9 years in various roles.
In his spare time he enjoys boating and fishing, surfing, running, and fitness. Stephen enjoys playing the Piano and is a keen follower of the Arts.
He is married to Jo and has two children.
